Slow But Sure Progression

I'm still in existence
I have not been obliterated
I defend the distance
That I will have to walk, and
Lose My Way in
I can't stand the horizon - a ring of gold surrounding me
reminding me of my blindness
All I know I do not see
After what feels like a lifetime of struggle
To keep myself still
I need to dance, wiggle all of my parts,
Hope that they remain whole through it all
Till I've had my fill

Flashes of memories
such beautiful sadness you have captured here. I hope you manage to find the filler that you are looking for to rid you of the void.

I wrote this a few years ago, it's nice to reflect on that period of time now.
