I changed my name because I thought Epiphanie Bloom was more fabulous than Maria Bell. I thought it was more representative of my personality.
If you do want to change your name, you just have to go to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages and sign the paperwork... I think it cost about $80. The only annoying thing is having to change your name on all your bank cards and other official documents. I found that it was worth it, though!
I'm not surprised you thought Joss was female, but there it is. It's lovely to have him as a working feminist in today's popular culture texts, don't you think?
I want to marry a Californian because I consider the state to be my home, and would love to live there again (legally!).
